The archival heritage of the Badaracco Foundation—recognized as “of notable historical interest” by the Archival Superintendence of Lombardy—was established in 1979 with the historical core of the “Archive of Feminism” collection and has been enriched over time through the acquisition of collections relating to the political and social history of women. Various types of collections are represented: personal archives, institutional archives, associations, political groups, thematic collections, correspondence, posters, and sound recordings.
In keeping with the spirit of openness and enhancement of its heritage that has marked the Foundation’s history, inventories are available online for each organized collection, while for all collections—arranged in order of importance and relevance to the Foundation’s history—a summary description is available on the website, accompanied by notes on the creator of the collection, description of the documentary material, chronological range, extent, and bibliographic references.
Access to the archives is open to the public by appointment.
