The project is part of the program celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the birth of the Constitution of the Italian Republic, funded by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Structure for Anniversaries of National Interest.

The research involves a group of researchers coordinated by Marina Zancan, President of the Elvira Badaracco Foundation of Milan, scientific director of the project together with Laura Di Nicola, professor of Contemporary Italian Literature at “Sapienza” University of Rome.

The Women’s Art project highlights the Magnabosco-Magni Collection of the Elvira Badaracco Foundation, a rare resource in Italy that fills the historiographical gap on women’s art.

Through digital exhibitions, video interviews and a mapping of women artists in Milan’s public museums, the initiative connects the library heritage to the works in Lombard museums, promoting a new narrative of the female presence in the city’s artistic heritage.
