The Night of the Archives – Friday, June 5, 2026
6:30 PM
Elvira Badaracco Foundation

Via Menabrea 13, Milan

On the occasion of the Night of the Archives of the Archivissima festival, the Elvira Badaracco Foundation offers a guided tour of its women’s and feminist archives, opening its headquarters at Via Menabrea 13 in Milan to the public.

In addition to a general overview of the entire collection, the focus will be particularly on the photographs preserved in the personal papers of Elvira Badaracco, a socialist and feminist activist, which recount—despite some evident gaps—her private life, her political activity, and the numerous initiatives she undertook in the field of preserving the memories of feminist movements in Italy.

In an absolute preview, photographs from the archive of Matilde Tortora, a living poet, will also be shown to the public; her archive is currently being reorganized and inventoried, documenting various moments of her intense life and her encounters with artists of all genres and arts.

Finally, the Women’s Art project will be presented, dedicated to the enhancement of the Magnabosco-Magni book collection, a rare and precious collection of volumes and catalogs dedicated exclusively to women artists worldwide.

Free admission upon registration by writing to: info@fondazionebadaracco.it
