The “Notebooks” of the Elvira Badaracco Foundation collect and disseminate the working materials documenting the Foundation’s activities: the preservation of archival collections related to women’s history; a specialized library; and research on the major themes of our history.
The series opens with the “Notebook” dedicated to Feminist Archives, a survey of the state of work in Italy and Europe regarding the preservation and treatment of sources—written, oral, visual, published, and unpublished, individual and collective—the heritage that documents the legacy of feminism and a part of women’s history.
The conference Feminist Archives: Preserving, Planning, Communicating took place on October 5-6, 2001, at the Badaracco Foundation as part of the “Culture 2000” framework program promoted by the Commission of the European Communities and the Cariplo Foundation’s “Preserving and Enhancing Historical Archives” program.
The volume was produced thanks to a contribution from the Cariplo Foundation.
