On the occasion of Milan Art Week 2026, which opens today and closes on April 19, we are pleased to announce that Fondazione Elvira Badaracco has launched the digital project Women’s Art.

The project aims to highlight the book collection donated to the Foundation by artists Nadia Magnabosco and Marilde Magni, a precious collection of rare and largely unavailable volumes and catalogs dedicated exclusively to women’s art.
Through digital exhibitions, video interviews, and an interactive map of the women artists whose works are present in Milan’s public museums, this precious book collection becomes a tool for promoting gender identity, offering a new narrative of women’s presence in the city’s artistic heritage and filling the historiographical gap that still exists regarding women’s art.

The project, realized thanks to the contribution of Regione Lombardia, is configured as a work in progress, aiming to continuously implement more data and information, also with your help.
